A horrible thought

It has been speculated that Kim Durham and SOC didn’t see eye to eye, hence Matt’s precipitate disappearance. That he returned equally unexpectedly on SOC’s departure seemed to confirm the suspicions.

Now he appears to have gone again, just when TA is looking for a new editor and SOC is looking for a new job.

They wouldn’t - would they?

Not unless they fancy upsetting “the wrong kind of listener”.

… & isn’t O’Connor busy on his film projects, y’know … his real interest area ? I’m also not sure his ego would let him return.

God, I hope not.

I’m horribly worried you may be right Joe. He always said he’d be back, so he kept his options well and truly open. Stand by for fawning press coverage in his rather too snug tweed suit. It also means the return of Titchener :frowning::frowning::frowning::frowning::frowning::frowning:

Well, Marje, Helen hasn’t had her leg over for quite a while now, has she?

I’d rather hoped she’d embraced chastity as a career choice. But if MBS is on offer who can say no?

It seems SOC is working on a new true murder (Rattenbury 1935) and sex book. He must be a cheery soul.

Joe, it is bad enough for them to have apparent;ly decided to do without Matt and bring the revolting Justin into the programme long-term.

That’s not exactly reassuring, is it?

I’ve always tended to follow the Peter Cook line when someone claimed to be working on a book:

“Neither am I”

Yet another one in which a woman dies.

I thought he was working with Mark Gatiss on a film of his rather disgusting Handsome Brute.

Lestthere be any misunderstanding, the like was to indicate agreement with your assessment, emphatically not approval of SOC’s latest venture into abuse porn.

If it keeps the silly bugger away from TA, he can do as many abuse porn books as he likes; not as if he invented the stuff.

Of course he didn’t; he’s just carrying on a great and noble tradition established under the auspices of an editor sufficiently dead as to preclude any chance of the claim being challenged.

Unless of course it receives multiple plaudits and/or awards, in which case it was all his own idea.

Pompous, self-satisfied git.

One of my suspensions was because I said SOC’s favourite theme was violence against women. I’m still waiting for an apology.

I’m not sure I’d say it was his favourite theme - it’s his only one.

It’s vile, isn’t it? All this ‘someone touched my knee’ is nothing compared to the glorification of rape and murder.

Ah well, that depends. Touching Pip or WR’s knee would leave anyone severely traumatised.

That would be the touchee tho? I’ve had many unwelcome touches but nothing so corrupting as SOC’s crap.
