Chris and Alice are at that stage where the word ‘amicable’ has been discarded and the real carve-up starts. Alice sets matters on a nasty course when she makes a decision that forces Chris to fight fire with fire. There’s a lot at stake here, including Aldridge acreage, and the rumblings from this could echo round Ambridge for generations.
To fuel the flames, Ruairi returns for the holidays. He and Alice, as we well know, don’t get on, ever since Alice told him he wasn’t really an Aldridge - a bit ironic, that, given that Ruairi is Brian’s only biological son - and that, too, will echo round Ambridge for generations.
