Mike Tucker is, for reasons not yet entirely clear, back. Once known as the ‘milkman from Hell’, he comes with a back story of bankruptcy, depression, attempted suicide, the loss of an eye, the loss of a wife and a serious car accident - so he’s just the ticket for post-Christmas gloom. Mike seems anxious for company, but why is he back, and where are the rest of the Tuckers?
Alice, who is also back in the village, joins her much put-upon husband for a perfect day out with Little Martha. Everything seems fine at first - but then, it all goes horribly wrong. Meanwhile, as we all guessed, the new set-up at Bridge Farm also goes horribly wrong.

Perfect Littuw Bethany consumed Vicky o’ Glitter and half of Birmingham before the Army could bring her down (aided by a scruffy looking bloke in a frock-coat).

Mike hasn’t really got the idea of starting again with a new identity.
