Debbie IS Batman, according to TA website

Re:Here on the BBC TA website.

If Debbie is Batman - I’m sure they must have meant Batwoman (they can’t all be in need of Specsavers).

Then who is Robin / Robyn - the Girl Blunder?

They have always seemed to me to have a very inflated view of Debbie: what has she ever actually done?

As far as I have ever been able to tell, she has never sorted out anything whatever.

  • Been played by the highly fragrant Tamsin Greig.
  • Said to Helen “oh, you’re so brave” when Helen told her about buying a child, which was about the most negative thing anyone dared to come up with.

Who writes this shite? And, perhaps more importantly, who commissions it/gives the imprimatur?

Have never understood The Cult of Debbie, btw

Not so: in the one fine occasion ever for her, Kate told Helen she was mad to think of having a child on her own.

…or indeed the origins of her matchless agroexpertise.

And Brian always used to sound to me as if he fancied her. Possibly I am a deeply warped individual (in my own defence, my reaction was very much ‘ewwwww!’ rather than ‘go for it, my son!’)
Debbie - in my mind, anyway - has played B. like a trout.

Oh, fair enough, Fish; I hadn’t remembered that. So it’s just the Tamsin Factor.

Typical BBC profligacy with licence money…Wasting money on extra words in scripts.

Everything after the “mad” was superfuous…
