I just heard a (completely unironic, as far as I could tell) “Hello, you two!”. I was too far away to strike the bugger down as he deserved. ---

I have heard it in use as well. I cringe slightly, and assume whoever said it has serious name-blindness and/or no idea who one of the pair is. ---
