Helen having a lot to think about and Adam trying not to appear ungrateful: could that mean she is going to offer heroically to carry Ian’s baby?

Just so long as that ‘Eddie sows a seed’ reference has nothing whatever to do with it, I can - just about - keep staggering on. But grooogh, anyway.

I’d love it if Ian embraces the idea enthusiastically and that puts the final lid on it for Adam. Lots of spatting and blaming.

How about:
“You do realise, Ian, that it’s thanks to that trouble-making bitch we are where we are now, don’t you? I gave up Charlie for you (ha!) and if she hadn’t blabbed to her homophobic rapist husband, you’d be a lot happier today than you are now and what’s more you’d never had brought up the baby idea again as a stick with which to beat me.”
