It’s 19 years since we fled the violence and intimidation of the Twelfth of July antics in Norn Iron and the first time I have not worried about my container plants and worried our glazing being sledgehammered

I love the feeling of peace

I have no Gaelic (good prod grammer skooling!) but I will be hard to winkle out of our hovel in its own bee loud glade a few miles south of Yeats’s one in Innisfree

Seeing teenagers and being greeted with smiles and bright conversation rather than vile abuse is a constant joyful surprise as we watch the townland’s yoof grow up
