It is delicious. (There are a few plus sides to being a bit hors de combat; other people make cakes you can eat bits of.)
Sounds wonderful!

I have just remembered a good pie recipe from a Greek friend
Two good this of Greek yogurt a handful of walnuts scattered over and a good drizzle of honey
Definitely how to help gut flora
Toast them v gently first, according to my late Greek friend. It is raaaaather nice.
Thank you dear Gus I will try that
I have just invented a rub for pork loin chops
I wanted a smokey flavour so it is
2tbsps smoked paprika
2tsps of garlic and celery salt
1dsp of chipotle flakes
1tbsp hot paprika
It smells divine and will be tried tonight
That should be rather good.

People are kind enough to say that I am good with spices
I must try and make chorizo sometime
Then discuss the process with the butcher

Recipe for Chicken Gloop, with Onion-Rice.
Have some chicken left over after a roast.
Put a little bacon-fat, or butter if you have none, into a saucepan.
Fry two onions cut into small bits, with 200g bacon lardons from Lidl (or six rashers of bacon cut small) and about the same amount of mushrooms cut small.
Using more fat (butter, usually) and flour and stock and red wine, make a sauce in the same pan. Add the chicken cut small, put a lid on the pan, and leave to simmer for at least half an hour.
While it is simmering, cut an onion very fine, and start it frying gently with a little olive oil in a saucepan. Wash a mug full of rice, and once the onion is soft and translucent, add the rice, some salt as you like it, and then twice as much boiling water as there was rice. Put a tight lid on top and simmer for ten to twelve minutes, until the rice has absorbed all the water. Turn off the rice but donāt take the lid off.
And thatās supper. Serve when you are ready. If you want to be Healthy about it you could have a green veg too.
I heartily endorse the above. Makes a Gus very happy.
That is a nice supper reciept
Sort of Two Fat Ladies in the wording
I loved them
I have made loads of changes to this, over the years, but if the puy lentils and dressing are sufficiently tart, hot and salty, the sweet squash is thoroughly suited.

That looks lovely
I do like squash but the Bull is a bit hesitantā¦
I could tell him itās a squash dhall
Ooooh, that does look good, Soo.
This is good, if you like that kind of thing. Himself actually requested I make it again, which was obviously a powerful spell for keeping the veg box squash-free for the rest of the seasonā¦
