So, who wants to help ... to cavort in the cellar?

Here’s a

yardarm!

Not inna bun, and onna stick would be a bit daft , being a stick onna stick, but it can if desired be accompanied by Pommes. Frites, fer preference,

If we’re having frites where’s the mayonnaise?

All over the place [ sighity]. How did it get on the window?

This cellar has a window? How unusual.

This Cellar has everything inside wot is required, TFM.

I don’t venture outside much…

Well yes, but I don’t think of cellars as having much in the way of windows, as a rule. Unless…

ooh! Is it a window into the underworld?

I’d have thought you’ve been here long enough to have a settled view about that, dear :fire:

Ooh, memory triggered there, TFM

‘Orpheus in the Underworld’ was always known as ‘Orpheus in his Underpants’ here… :joy::joy::joy:

I only briefly, I mean momentarily, read that as ‘salt and pepper undercrackers’. Sigh.

I see that Felicity Draper, who founded Felicity’s Hat Hire has died aged 95.

I always said that it was a Bluddy good idea.

I will don me Middle Normous Nat, which happens to be in the hall, & raise a glass to her.

I think it was one of her outlets in which we became convinced that after we left the shop, the assistant would turn the sign round to “closed” and fill her teapot with gin…

It was one I had thought of myself, & even suggested it, but the timing wasn’t right.

The franchises have been good businesses when in the right places, & with the right staff.

I’m sure one or 2 have taken to drinking Gin when the customer had left the premises. One or 2 possibly drank during the exchange…

I remember the time I got a beautiful cream hat that was perfectly finishing an outfit of a burnt orange floral frock with a cream linen jacket to wear for my goddaughter’s. christening

It looked great until I took it off and noticed it was caked with makeup

I was not wearing any makeup that time

I refused to buy damaged goods and as it was a very very expensive boutique and the outfit was special for the day it was for and also the longed for treat of buying for the me after being in hospital for 4 months in the icu neurosurgery ward

I got the hat after the boutique. got it cleaned professionally

It was indeed, Fishy.

I was abit put out, because she didn’t like the idea of me trying any of the hats on.

We soon won her over, though, with our combined charm…

Scarves & liners used to be provided for trying on, Twellsy, but I am not sure what happens these days.

We stopped at M&S on the way home this morning and I got Singapore noodles with beef which I turned into a sort of nasi goering with two fried eggs

It was delicious so kudos to their development chefs

I made prawns with oyster sauce on egg noodles at lunchtime as DD and GD were with us, avoiding the ripping out ovvan bathroom. They’ll be with us tomorrow and on Wednesday.

The builder failed to attend first thing this morning (a minor, but vital repair to the conservatory roof). Mr Bee has been seething all day, having been up at sparrowfart.
