So, who wants to help ... to cavort in the cellar?

32° outside, today.

I, am inside…

Having soaked my rice overnight & cooked it this morning, I will fry it this evening.

Outside is simply Too Damn Hot. Inside, I shut the windows and blinds not too long after sunrise, and it is still tolerable.

We are having cold supper: cold roast pork in sandwiches, and apple and carrot grated together.

It got up to 34° here and I am sooo glad we went through the nightmare of getting the aircon installed over the winter. Yes it was expensive but it is blissful indoors today, it was worth every penny - I just don’t do hot.

This sparrer is out of service. Please wait for the next available bird.

s’OK, I can see a pair of jackdaws on the lawn, they’ll do. There is something about jackdaws that always makes me smile.

I wonder why Amazon thinks I want to buy an inflatable crocodile…

Oh well, more tea.

Thinks, or think? Is Amazon singular or plural? Or should that be, are Amazon singular or plural?

Oh gawd, more tea.

Or gin?

Ha! I do want an inflatable crocodile. TFD suggested that, filled with helium and tethered in the garden, it would keep the pigeons away.

Opened the parasol earlier, and found a guest resting in it: I presume this little fella got in overnight and couldn’t find his way out again! Doesn’t seem to have suffered, he unfurled himself and shot off towards a more suitable daytime resting spot, didn’t need any encouragement
