So, who wants to help ... to cavort in the cellar?

It used to be my job to clean and fettle the pure silver lamentta to drape over the decorated tree

I loathed that job

I loathe tinselly stuff of any description and would certainly not clean it. Poor you!

We’ve had a happy time and a decent lunch.

After making what has turned out to be an really good Martyr sauce yesterday, minced steak is being cooked in the Slowcooker & Bolgnese is being made.

The kitchen smells great.

Sort of following the Italian theme, I have had an sandwich of Milano Salami on buttered baguette.

Couldn’t sit out here, Dunnock. It has been raining steadily all day.

Morning all

I got my very favourite earrings fixed yesterday so for the first time in aaaaages my head feels right with the weight of them

I like it like that - big heavy cat earrings with ruby chips as eyes hand made for me at the Bull’s request when he worked in Saudi

Hungover cats, then?

Lovely for you to have them back where they belong.

There is tea, and there is sticky toffee. Only someone trying (unsuccessfully) to imitate Heston Blumenthal would find it necessary to mix them in boiling water, I feel.

Blumenthal would have put a snail in the mix too. :snail:

Or bacon, if that was superbly inappropriate.

Sigh.

The weather is as out of sorts as I am, with rain threatening.

The thought of sticky toffee tea is not helping

Pore Chatelaine! Is there any other sort of tea (as it might be ginger) that you find settles your stomach? If so, think of that instead.
