So, who wants to help ... to cavort in the cellar?

It’s wazzing down, now. but no matter.

I can’t decide if I prefer Manzanilla or Oloroso.

You’ll just have to keep sampling them both to decide, won’t you…

I like your thinking, Fishly One.

Then again, I am partial to a straw-dry Fino…So many sherries, so little time if I decide to constantly sample them.

Ah, now choosing between Manzanilla and Fino is a much harder one. And whoever at the back muttered ‘Amontillado’, be aware that you are Not Helping.

Beef Massaman (boughten paste, mind) and roast spiced cauliflower tonight. It might have been a somewhat beige plate, but it was bluddy nice.

Pour out another couple of glasses, Montresor!

“But those are respectable serving suggestions. They exist to maintain the social fiction that this is an ordinary spread rather than a jar designed to make adults stand beside the kitchen sink eating directly from it while listening for approaching footsteps like a Labrador that has finally worked out how cupboards operate.”

Forewarned is forearmed. While I would remain impervious to temptation (don’t care for CCs) there are ‘others’ who could be seduced.

[innocent tseep] though having recently experienced M&S’s excuse for a web site, and That Fish having experienced their excuse for retail premises, I think it’s unlikely they’ll make an appearance here.

I am told the food halls are now where they have concentrated their efforts…

But " Before long there is a dashboard glowing confidently in an office while somebody outside is still trying to work out why the bloody thing will not accept their postcode." from that article certainly does speak to me…

Deja vu … for some reason, the M&S (Ireland) website won’t accept any payment method if you’re logged in, but if you don’t log in and check out as guest, it works just fine :ogre: . Have discussed this with them, they’ve never got to the bottom of it …

Currently having problem with Dr. Martens - website refuses to accept Irish address, keeps on saying you must specify country - with “Country: Ireland” clearly showing as selected … grrrrrrrrrrr :frowning:

eta: or, it insists you select address from list (not showing), or enter address manually (which has clearly been done - including Irish post code etc etc …) … well, I guess customers ARE the software QA department …

Morning all

Since it’s so quiet here today I am sneaking my hammock and frame into the corner near the stove so I can toast crumpets and butter and Marmite them from the safety of my fancy hammock

Hammock, no problem unless someone trips over the outermost edges of it and damages either themselves or it.
Trapeze, I have long-handled heavy duty snippers ready to deploy on cables.

Our jabs are on 1st, also at a pharmacy of our choice. It is near an excellent farm shop, so we might manage a swift razzia there while we are in the area.
