It’s the feeling that I get that we are supposed to be indulging/treating them like special people, Soo

As for ‘fur babies’, don’t get me started…

I just can’t see what projecting human tastes onto animals is supposed to be for, although ‘we’ seem to do it to children too, or at least some ovvus do.

My friends with the twins brought them up to try most things except those which they didn’t themselves like. They, the parents, both took sugar in tea & coffee, & couldn’t imagine any child of theirs preferring it without!

Poached chicken breasts this evening, with onions & mushrooms. There was garlic, anna splash of truffle too.

You didn’t, Dear Carinthia.
It’s the fecking shin pain that keeps me awake and it’s making me cranky.
I received a wedge-shaped cushion from that place, today.Hopefully I’ll be able to cope with several hours of journeying up north, in a couple of weeks. Thanks for kind wishes.

I know you weren’t asking me but, yes please.

Can anyone tell me what this phrase, uttered this morning by Dame Rachel De Souza, the Children’s Commissioner for England, actually means - “I think we can feel as confident as we confidently can be”?

Um, well yes, on the whole.

It seems to be that getting a gentle stretch, whilst as well aligned as possible is the way to go, which isn’t usually* the case with arthritis.

*I know that each case is different

Ferking knees & backs, eh?

Alternate hot & cold is also thought to bring some relief, although many people find the warmth more comfortable. Wheat bags seem to have taken over from hot water bottles*
*Mr C’s ‘go to’ treatment was an HWB shoved down the back of his trousers…

Given the difficulty of getting a face to face appointment with a Dr ATM , it appears that trying the old-fashioned remedies/ways is the only thing to do.

I have heard good reports of Tiger Balm, but never tried it myself.

I belong to an online forum called ‘Stuff That Works’, where posters share their experiences/remedies. I use the Rheumatoid Arthritis Board, but there are many others.

Posters are from all over the world, which makes it quite interesting.

ETA that it is an American Site, but I have found lots of useful information on it.

Cauliflower, cashew and pea curry here. Steamed some purple sprouting broccoli for greenish-stuff. We saw an amazingly huge and very beautiful dragonfly, today. Mr Bee touched it and it nary twitched. Himself is disappointed with the colours (mobile 'phones, tssk) but, here it is:
