No yardarm? I could do with a Medicinal here. It has been a bugger of a week as it is, now Iā€™ve just heard that my first husband, Louā€™s father, died last night. We werenā€™t in touch often but we stayed on good terms - friends, even - over the years. More than a bit tearful.

Thanks all for your kind thoughts above. Still feeling a bit shell-shocked to be honest, R was the wrong person for me (we married ridiculously young) but we were a happy little family for a while, now thereā€™s only me left of the three of us.

Iā€™m raising a glass to him now, he was a kind, funny and talented man and will be missed by many.

I do sometimes, and when I do it tends to be very thorough.

My backside still hurts slightly from last yearā€™s rump/bathroom floor interfacing, and subsequent damage to rump structure.
