That sort of thing still exists in Austria & Germany, Gus. One is never offered a drink without summat to nibble on.
The biggest brands are Bahlsen, & Soletti but each supermarket has their own. Aldi/Hofer ones are very good, as are Lidl, &, of course much cheaper.

I can report seeing a weasel, today, and having a joyous greeting from a foal I’ve watched almost from birth. Supper was Sour Chickpeas (Madhur), roasted kale and raitha. I’ll post the main recipe in the appropriate thread.
