Oh good stuff Fishy one
I hope that your reed bed soothes you to sleep
I wasnāt suggesting that you were, Fishy. So much of my heavy-duty stuff has to be taken with food that, despite my starting each day with summat to protect my stomach, I now keep biscuits, specifically shortbread fingers, to help them stay down when I donāt want a meal.
I could drink a glass of milk with them instead, but that is not fer meā¦
Soup & bread sounds great. Fer you, Dear Fish, I would forgo the HBCs
I do hope that you manage some sweep, & I am delighted, & relieved that you are being pampered.

Up early forran Fishward Hurtle (and fuel hunt). I do not approve of this time of day. For a start, all the pubs are closed.
ETA: Leeds seems to be the city of upbeat cover versions. Last night, a bouncy jazzy Creep; this morning, smoky female vocal on a strings and piano version of Dance Me to the End of Love. I think I startled the waitress by laughing at it.
Safe hurtling, Dunnock

Seconded here
As for someone singing Leonard Cohen I am of the view that he is the only person who does justice to his songs
Up* and exhibiting tea-seekinā behaviour;- )
Good hurtling to an Dunnock.
*a temporary state
I hope that you managed some sleep, Gus

Yes thank you Darling.
I have been asked to tell the Cellar that an Fish is being āsensibleā.
An Fish is also, Iām sorry to say, rather the worse for wear* this morning.
*not the fun kind of wfw: Iām told that wouldnāt be so bad
Poor Fishy
I fear that the next few days are going to be very uncomfortable
Carinthia. xx
Please pass on gentle hugs to a Fishy
When I had my shunt fitted the staples were more painful than the operation wound
And I know this is a horrible feeling but try to avoid washing hair for a few days as that gives the cut time to heal
We were advised to wait 10 days and then use baby shampoo only
I was terrified the first time as washing a ruddy great hole where trepanning has occurred is a horrible thought
So that is where my advice comes from
Poor Fishy needs tender care from a sparrer
Ooh, splendid, Soo.
Gxx
What a gorgeous photo
It is a lovely photo, and makes me want to be there.
Hugs and healing thoughts for a Fishy.
I have been promised a nouting on Saturday to buy a pair of jeans comfy shoesies and new braziers
The braziers will be going to a really good specialist store and being properly fitted while yonder Bull sort of squirms with embarassment and proffers his card
When we lived in Dalkey there was a beautiful shop that I had bras fitted in
When the Bull was in Dublin working for years after that he would go to the shop call me on the phone and hand his phone to the ladies who would sort out appropriate bras and wrap them carefully so he would not be too affronted taking the train home
Our proper shop is closing, as the owner isnāt renewing the lease, which is going to be a real loss to the town.

Am home safely. (And no trouble getting fuel Oop North, though there were queues when I got back here.)
Dawn over Leeds:
Pleased that you are back safely, Dunnock

This is clearly the thread for splendid photies; first there was man surveying the world, from Soo, and then world altogether from Dunnock.
The report goes, I woke at 8am and should have not bothered. I got up briefly for the loo, felt very dizzy, went back to bed and lay down, felt even dizzier, and was then fairly sick with not-a-lot to be sick on. At this point research showed BP 88/42, which is really not adequate⦠So I abandoned all thought of getting up, and once I was able to I went back to sleep until one.
I now feel much more The Thing and have BP 102/44, which is fractionally more useful. And I have had breakfast and ibuprofen. Desk chair is most comfortable for me, because upright is best. I shall not be walking on tiled floors today.
Or driving this week.
Like I said, I am being sensible.
Gentle hugs dear Fish
I hope the sparrer is cosseting you
