Meanwhile at Local Farm Shop, look at the colours man…
I like to think I am not a picky eater, but “gritty” is not a texture I look for in my food.

I like to think I am not a picky eater, but “gritty” is not a texture I look for in my food.
There was another cheese which called itself “gritty”; looked to me as if a cheddar had gone a bit wrong so they made it a Design Feature.
I fear that gritty cheese, like Brie with a middle like chalk in texture instead of properly runny, may be a new fad.
Some cheddars do tend towards the granular in texture without it being a Bad Thing. Can’t say I’m tempted by little grains of sand charcoal in my cheese, though.
I don’t fancy gritty either…
Yay to the outing, Fishy
I think that it may be the short walk to Tiny Tesco for me today.

I am not particularly keen on gritty fiction, either, now I come to think of it. It nearly always also claims to be “realistic” and ain’t.
‘A book should ooze, like a ripe camembert.’

Especially not the one who found a cooked rasher of bacon which had been used as a bookmark.
Aged Parmesan is tending to the gritty in parts
That volume was probably a brie, then…
And now I want a Brie-and-bacon sandwich, but lack Brie, bacon and bread. Sigh.
Sorry ;- (
I sense a business opportunity here. Brie-and-bacon sandwich delivered to your desk, by our trained delivery sparrers…

…maybe not a sustainable business.
Likely to sustain only the sparrers, by the sound of it.
Sparrers need sustaining
The world needs more sparrers
The world needs more Fishes, too.
I am glad that your poor bonce is less uncomfortable, Fishers, even if you are being starved.
How’s yer pits, Gus xx ?
Good walk today. We passed through a grove of Aspen trees and the leaves are starting to dry and turn golden. The susurrations were lovely.

Not too bad, thank you, Soo.

Best wishes for your Monday, Carinthia.
Off to bed, wishing all a good night of sleep.

And we’re home
I had a trundle around the huge Tesco beside the car showroom that was our office
I purchased a cushion for the car and a couple of kilos of daffodil bulbs
Oh and a frock
A long sleeve T shirt to hips with a gathered deep frill on the bottom
Pure cotton I think and a smart leopard print to match the Bengals
It was a joy to have a trip out on my own and lovely to see friends from the other side of the country
Gentle hugs to those in need
