I would say both Gus
I have made an enormous bowl of pepperonata sauce the way an Italian friend taught me
Some for pasta tonight the rest will become part of my bolognese for a batch cook of lasagne over the weekend

Dinner chez bee will be:
Baked seabass, pak choi and roasted potatoes with a chilli tomato something-or-other.

In about ten minutes we shall have a chicken Kiev each, and rather more spinach parcels for That Bird than for me.
Do you have the appetite for it, Fishers? Oh, you’re prolly facing it, now.
Soo xx
The Kievs were the small sort, and I managed four of the parcels which are also not very large.
And (this is a good thing) I enjoyed them rather than eating because I ought to.
I have met people who would regard enjoying one’s food as intrinsically sinful. (As distinct from eating for enjoyment, about which one might start to make an argument.)
Oh hurrah, Fishy!
Yeah. That one gets savagely theological, quite quickly. Especially if I am joining in.
Oh. Them. Aye. Perverts to a man ;- )
Isn’t it a wilful spurning of God’s Good Gifts not to enjoy them, though?
One might indeed take that view. But then again, to some mortification of sight is constructive spiritual practice.
shrugitty SPIT.
Huh! TFD just called me a ginless wonder, and when I looked a bit blank he said that it was a wonder that I was still ginless at almost 8pm.
And has his agony somewhat abated now?
I sentenced him to the appropriate punishment - he’s gone to pour the gin.
“Ah, so that’s what ‘a glass jaw’ means! I’d always wondered.”
Cheeky bugger;- ) Doubles for both?
Are we ever, truly, ginless?

Not if I can help it.
That’s the spirit, Sparrer.

Never. In a very real sense, the gin is all around us.
And, more importantly, within us.
Imbued, I tell thee!

That Birdie would never let us go short…
Thank Gawd

Thank the gawds for Birdies.
However - do not thank them for pesky security lights that flicker on and wane, go off and then go through the whole irritation again. And again, ad nauseam - all bluddy night. Even if it’s not windy! I’ll take my irritable little beeself off to bed.
Best nights, Cellarites,
