So, who wants to help ... to flummox the cellar?

Nah. Butter and homemade Seville is the way to go. Frank Cooper’s Oxford at a pinch.

What wooden spoon? No idea what you mean;- )

We will use up the fish-made thin-sliced marmalade before anything else!

Bertolli bothers me. The ingredients listed are

Vegetable Oils in varying proportions (38%) (Rapeseed, Palm, Sunflower), Water, Olive Oil (21%), Sweet WHEY Powder (MILK), BUTTERMILK, Salt (1.1%), Emulsifier (Mono- and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate), Thickener (Sodium Alginate), Citric Acid, Natural Flavouring, Vitamins A and D, Colour (Carotenes).

So 38% vegetable oils plus 21% olive oil is 59%, plus 1.1% salt is 60.1%: what is the remaining 39.9%? Basically mostly milk?

(I never looked at them because Diana was lactose-intolerant so there was no point: whey was poison.)

In slightly related news, we have just taken delivery of a 25kg sack of finest French T65, so our bread supply is safe for another few months.

In other news (not unrelated to my continued online absence) a Noisy Beast is evolving…

There is a sort of Rogan Josh burbling away in the kitchen. I bought chump of lamb as a whole piece, had a couple of very good steaks from it, & am currying the rest.

Bee dims, even further. Anyway, I would like to lose a few pounds forran upcoming wedding, so I’ll leave you to your indigestion, Gus  I still don’t have an outfit, by the way, and I’ll be posting two frocks back to their sellers on Monday. Meh. I hope it’ll be warm at the beginning of July, azz I’ll be wearing my birthday suit.

Good nights, all,

Gin, Darling.

Summat lovely innan fit & flare style wot you can wear again. Some places call them skater dresses, but they can be abit short.

All very dispiriting though.
The Carinthian women had an awful time last year sorting out stuff for the wedding wot moved from July to September.
Stepdaughter wanted to be able to try on her MOB outfit & waited until April so that she could go into a shop & try things on.

DiL didn’t have time to go anywhere, & sent for stuff online & then I tweaked it to fit. She must have sent half a dozen things back though.

Sigh

Anything bought abit big can be tweaked. Itizz harder to ease things, as there is Eff All in the seams these days. The sizes/labels are a joke, & should be ignored, as there is a difference of almost 2" all over, these days.

Itizz Bluddy hard to ignore the labels, & our image of ourselves, but we must, to stay sane.

I once wore a size 12 coat, which fitted perfectly, & I am a size 18-20. I would have worn it with the label showing if it had been possible…:joy:

In Other News, I noticed that 500g of Lurpak Spreadable now costs £5-05 in Tiny Tesco.

It’s a Bluddy disgrace

Tesco are profiteering like stink, particularly in the little shops. Consider getting fungibles and fruz delivered by Iceland (I do not get commission btw). But they bring me heavy things and the butter is ok.

I had a browse round Waitrose in Swaffham last week and was astonished to see how many things there were cheaper than they are in Tesco. Lots of lovely things available that Tesco don’t stock too, almost worth moving to Norfolk just to be able to shop there.
