The mystery lurgy has finally condescended to diagnosis, by way of my right leg looking and feeling as if I’ve done several shifts at the Carlton. 'Tis a flare-up of the old cellushitis, so I’m back on the AntiBs at 50% higher dose for the next ten days.

Oh fuckaduck, joe (only if you feel able for it, mind, and the duck is adult and consenting). What an absolute sod of an thing.
Get the antiBs down you, and much fluid, and take very good care and gentle walks about the house and garden. Please keep us a bit posted when you can, else we might Worry. About the chooks, obvs.

The chooks have been most solicitous, watching me very closely. They can sense infra-red and ultraviolet, so a fever would actually be visible to them.

Though I can’t shake the suspicion that the interest is along the lines of “There’s good eating on one of them”…

Did I mention there’s been another hatching?

O @Gus, here are the Keys to the

Use them wisely.

Well, no less wisely than I would.

Or not much.

Friends of ours are to visit Boston MA, this week. They brought us 1.5kg of gooseberries and an enormous amount of kale from their allotment. I’ve stewed the gooseberries to freeze and we’ll have some roasted kale with Goan cod curry this evening, but what to do with the rest? Definitely a 1st world problem, I know.

Kale crisps?

I have been out for a late lunch with the friend who needed the clothes rail. Itizz her Birthday today.

I had FFS-mini fillets of fish in batter. The TaTa sauce was handmade too, as was the coleslaw.

An portion of skinny fries & a rocket & Martyr salad completed a lovely meal.

In the interests of honesty I admit to an large glass of Gridge too…
