So, who wants to help ... to flummox the cellar?

Ooo-er. One sees what she meant.
And the views must be staggering.

Not so sure about the helter-skelter, let alone the zip wire, though. ‘An elegant way to descend’, my arse. Or, had I chosen the €4 route, ‘the area of charred and pulped adipose tissue that was formerly my arse’.

I haven’t done the helter skelter

Anything requiring brown trousers is so not my thing…

The zip wire business opened last week, so I haven’t seen that atall.

The viewing platform this replaced was a concrete monstrosity, although the original was of wood.

Good news!
The Ma has been discharged from the care of the nurses at the practice, with gold stars for a well healed leg. Glory be.
She has strict instructions to get back in touch directly with Them and They will then take a look, rather than faffing with doctors in the first instance.
Here’s to Dianne, Fiona and Julie, then; and also to others who put shoulders to that particular wheel.

Ouch poor boat

I wonder if she will refloat on the tide…

They’re hoping so, we’ll see.

Yes I hope so too

But 3.5m is a helluva lot of tide to get to refloat her
As long as noone was hurt things and boats can be replaced

People cannot be replaced so readily

No reports of any injuries, thank goodness.

She went aground just before high water, and the next high later today will be less so it looks unlikely to me that she’ll refloat then, but I’m no expert. Next spring tide is 10th Sept and it’ll be 7th before it is higher than when she went aground. She could be here for some time.

Looks like it

Unless a couple of big tugs are deployed to help tow her back into the water on a high tide

ETA
She will need an inspection to check she is seaworthy before she is let loose

Any big tugs would have to be sent from Liverpool or Belfast, we don’t have any on island.
