I think that they’re pretty too
Can you eat them?
Of course. The question is whether you can eat them twice.
Many years ago, Mr Bee and I attended a fungus identifying course. We went on guided forays and were encouraged to pick the edible ones to cook on our return to ‘base’. I can confirm that many fungi may be edible but are not palatable in the slightest. I think that those pretty bracket fungi would be best left for the squirrels and deer

Then we eat the squirrels and deer, right?
They’d taste better, I feel.

It’s all right: we had roast beef and roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings and gravy and roast carrots and cauliflower cheese and Brussels sprouts fried in garlic butter for supper, and left the fungi to their own devices.
That sounds delicious , Fishy.
