I remember that in my early teens I favoured butter, sliced tomato, lots of salt, salad cream and salt & vinegar crisps, in sliced white bread. My mother didn’t so much permit this as remain in complete ignorance.
Steph’s Sustainable Stuff sells fabulous crisps. The potatoes are grown on a farm in Lincolnshire, as is the Rapeseed used for the oil in which to fry them.
The Fork Andles are burning.
The Quattro is fired-up
The Extry Extry Candle is burning too.
Today is my 44th Wedding Anniversary so lots of memories flying around.
Wouldn’t be for me, I’m afraid. I dislike the taste of rapeseed oil and find it comes through whatever other flavourings are used. Sunflower oil is fine but my current fave crisps are the ones made with XV olive oil - expensive but worth it.
