I agree so much about some things being gorgeous on one person and revolting on another
So the Bull knows what very very few perfumes I like and nobody else buys me perfume so I am safe from disasters
I hope!

Perfect!
Mick Jagger once went slightly mad and bought an absolutely huge bottle of My Sin for Marianneâs mother, who couldnât wear it because it brought her out in a rash. I suspect he meant well.
While he was wooing Marianne, Mick was sending twelve red roses a day to her house until eventually Eva took him to one side and suggested that since she couldnât really afford to feed herself properly, a piece of steak would probably endear him to her more!
Thatâs just âŚunimaginative.
Not commenting specifically on the above story now, but I wonder for how many people red roses are actually a favourite flower. Or even a favourite rose.
Not me Gus
I like sunflowers and lavender and white roses and anthurrium lillies and sweet peas and all sorts of flowers
Wee birdie that is a scentless rose
It was what my sister wanted for her wedding bouquet
I used a LOT of light leaves and flowers behind it so it would not be a black hole in photos
That is rather gorgeous, but they arenât particularly fragrant, I donât think.
If you want a red rose with a scent so wonderful that it makes your head swim, you could do worse than Ena Harkness. There was one in the garden when the family moved in 1953, and my mother cherished and tended it until we moved out in 1967; alas, it was too old to be transplanted to her new garden. I havenât seen one for years, but I know they are still sold.

How am I supposed to knit a dogâs coat with a cable pattern when a cat is sitting on my wool pattern and cable needle?
You had me at âhow am I supposed to knitâ,TwellsyâŚ

There is obviously a Mistake on your to-do list, Twellsy. The catâs reads â15:00-16:30: sit on knitting stuffâ, therefore your own is faulty. It should probably read something like âBake chicken & poach fish for Deserving Felinesâ.
Ena Harkness is wonderful, Fishy. Uncle Walter is pretty good too. The bushes in my grandparentsâ garden had a fabulous scent. Oddly, I remember the blooms as being much darker than growersâ pictures indicate.
I think they get darker as they get older. And a bit purply.
Iâve noticed that myself ;- )
Gus the cat in question is supposed to be losing a bit of weight so she is getting nowt but biccies until she is a svelte lady again
Please donât do that. Give her less wet food, or diet wet food: but an all dry food diet really isnât good for cats.
This isnât just me being contrary, I promise. Ask in Cats Club on Peets about it.
Gxx
It isnât good for dogs either. Or people, come to that.
Correction: The catâs reads â00:00-23:59: sit where the feck I likeâ
Every day
All our moggies get stinky meaty goodness every day
So fret not about our feline masters they are well looked after
Stinky meaty goodness isnât selling it to me, TwellsyâŚ
Apparently there are Craft Beers on sale at Lidl in England & WalesâŚ
