Cake for Sil and Bil now iced and in a box for transport
Icing is the diet version
8oz butter 2oz cocoa powder 2 drops lemming juice and enuff icing sugar to make it the right texture and taste
Then add another 2 4oz bars of 80% cocoa chocolate whizzed to tiny bits and stir that in
You get a really really decadent type of icing
The chocolate gives a texture to it as well
Does that sound good enough for a gift?

From the sublime to the gorblimey, but I just had a perfect chrese & ham sandwich. Sheer luck, but just the right amount of mustard on the ham side and mayo (I know, Fishy) on the other.
I am now going to crawl into the salad drawer.

Afternoon, all.
Sorry to be so late on parade.
For the most part yesterday’s picnic was grand. The food was declared to be delicious and we were with Very Good Friends. The wildlife was generous in its displays - salmon jumping out of the river, kingfishers x 3, heron, many butterflies of various types etc. Unfortunately, sitting with legs a’dangle on a river bank whilst eating did not suit my constitution and my BP dropped and I had to be lain down. I wasn’t the only one to think that this should have been lain out. After an hour or so (and discussions about ambulance access to the area) I made it up onto my pins and back up to the ruddy horrible stile where I was man-handled over. Still feeling norshus, but Very Good Friends have just visited bearing Alstroemeria and I’ll live.
Can’t think about That Cake, Twellsy, but I’m sure it’s gorgeous.

Something I always wonder about is that doctors get all upset about high blood pressure but never seem to bat an eye about low blood pressure. I have to be falling to the floor at them with a swimming head before they pay the blindest bit of notice to 45/90… And then the following month they casually prescribe medication which is designed to lower my blood pressure!
