In case the pubs close again?
Donāt scare me none - weāre well shored up against that having just been to Aldi. All customers had face coverings, distance was considerately observed.
Love the Dog, Twellsy.

There was a seedy youth in Hobbycraft who was not wearing a mask, yesterday. I asked him, from a distance and therefore at a fair volume, where his mask was ⦠no reply, and he tried to pretend he hadnāt heard me, but the security man did. He was wandering gently over as I came away.
āSeedyā - I love it! Iāll suggest to Mr Bee that he uses this term rather than neāer-do-well.

Ha! That reminds me of the last scene in Arsenic and Old Lace where the old chap says, āYou donāt see much elderberry wine nowadays. I thought Iād had my last glass of itā, whereupon the sweet old lady hands him a glass, saying, āHere it is!ā
Our teacher took us to London to see it with Sybil Thorndike and Athene Seyler and she took us to meet them afterwards backstage. There was a quiet man sitting there, which I mentioned to my Mum who told me it must have been Lewis Casson. This must have been around 1967, because he died shortly after that, I see from looking it up.
Wow Janie
An outing for my school was to go to a quarry to see basalt forming hexagonal shapes
Err
We lived five miles down the coast from the Giantās Causeway
Too damn hot.
Just that, really.
I feel for you. Really. Itās a bit much for me here, at 22 deg, I think Iād melt if I had to put up with the sort of temperatures you get - which is why I refuse to visit the South of England other than in the winter.
This sparrer is out of service. Please pass along the perch to the next available bird.
Stuffed peppers here this evening
Itizz only 21° here, so no melting taking placeā¦

Jealous Grrrrr.

Urk I am having hot flushes here at a steamy 19C
About 13°C, hereabouts. Bliss.
We have spotted, trapped and escorted off the premises an Enormous Spider. Everyone should have a Spider Catcher, comme Ƨa:
Ugh. I should know how to warn phobic types (as Hedgers did with that Horrible Moth), but I donāt have the gift.

Iāve got two. My hands.
I never could see the problem with spiders, though those with a phobia have my symapthy, obvs.
You are a Brave and Admirable TFM, for sure. Iād love to be able to scoop the innocent creatures up for relocation. Just canāt.

Sānot an Orrible Moth.
I too would have been keen to evict that spider, though.
The wonderful alliance of a lepidopterophobiac and arachnophobiac might make one wonder how the poor kinder may fare. They try not to hold it against us.

ETA good nights, Cellarites.
Not at all - nothing brave about doing something that doesnāt bother you. Iāve lost count of the number of people who have warned me that spiders can, and sometimes do, bite, but all I can say is that that has never happened to me.
I have never been stung by a bee or a wasp, TFM, so I have little fear of them.
