A reminder that the ‘Schwarzwalder Schinken’ or whichever Wald they are calling it this week comes vacuum-packed on the shelves in Aldi, & is very cheap/good value for a cured meat

We’ve just been listening to the Thursday lunchtime UK DAB broadcast of this week’s edition of Assignment on BBC World Service radio. It’s an in-depth look at what’s happening in the elections for Governor in the state of Kansas, where a number of young people have been taking advantage of their recent discovery that there is no minimum age for candidates. A very refreshing political documentary, well worth a listen as an antidote to the Muppet Shows currently running on both sides of the Atlantic. Details at:
