My soon-to-be-SiL will be staying with us tonight. He will be anxious to return to Edinburgh as soon as possible, in the morn. I have reminded as many guests as I could that it will be a cash bar on the evening. I have also furnished myself with lots of extra readies. Y’see?

The hogget has been put back a day, because I got some of the Best Pork Chops Ever while visiting Booker for a 6kg tub of salt for £3.29 yesterday. We’ll have those for supper tomorrow, with garlic-mash and baked tomatoes and a mushroom gravy. I may or may not make an apple crumble to follow; we seem to have some cream that was a bit under half-price in the same emporium and got bought absent-mindedly.
