An inspiration to me & mine.
Our new headmaster was promptly nicknames “Dinsdale” or “DP”, a name whicb stuck till his retirement. When in my final year, as Head Boy (yep, really) someone had put graffiti claiming “DP is a ****” he instructed me to investigate who had done it & suggested I start by noting all the boys with initials DP and eliminate the unlikely ones.
Speaking to another teacher and telling him this he said “well, it’s up to you. I’m certainly not telling him”.
