So, who wants to help ... to rattle on in the cellar?

We don’t morally censure, we just want the money.

It worked splendidly

I have just been putting the hand towels in the airing cupboard & thinking how thin they have suddenly got when I remembered that 2 of them are at least 30 years old

They dry one ever so much better just before they come in holes.

The left (or Southern) end of my desk is now preternaturally tidy – in fact empty. and polished.

This is because I put a glass of milk down on the edge of the tile-to-protect-the-surface instead of in the middle, and gave everything on that side of the desk a milk bath, terribly Cleopatra Dahling.

Then Gus rescued me, and the things, and used paper towel to good effect, and then dried with a cloth and then polished, and the desk doesn’t know itself.

The only trouble is that the North end is now muttering about prejudice and nobody cares and run away to sea, and I can tell that I shall eventually have to empty and then polish that, and the computer and printer live there. Bah.

We always used the thin towels for drying our hair - good thick ones didn’t do the job properly

My Stepdaughter & Granddaughter now do this too

How lovely to be rescued by Gus

I would go for it, & do the North end of the desk too

The sense of satisfaction will be immense

You may find things which you had thought Lorst & Gorn Forever

You will qualify for 'Normous Slammers

Am going to fetch my train tickets shortly

Went to get the files onto a proper computer, and [glurk] (a technical term), it can’t read the directory at all. Bgr.

Time for photorec. Yup, files all there, all in good nick, copied off.

I woz treated to a bottle of Scottish gin, for my 63rd. Its moniker is ‘Rock Rose’ and it is also good with fever tree and lemon, imo.
