So, who wants to help ... to rattle on in the cellar?

I expect one would be happy enough in the cellar, being articulate an’ all

We now have a very basic working treadmill, off freegle so no payment for it, and I can start to do ten minutes at a time whenever I need a break from what I am doing: I am hoping for several times a day. With luck this will get me fit enough for the Dear Delightful Dog for a month next spring when my son’s posting in Furrin finishes and he gets ten weeks’ leave some of which he wants to spend on a really good holiday with his family, but without the dog so they can go all over the world a bit on aeroplanes – it is cheaper and easier for him to come back to England with her on the same plane, stay here overnight when he delivers her, and then fly back out to his family, than it is to send an unaccompanied dog anywhere, but even so dogs cost a lot more than children even when there are no quarantine considerations, and also only a few airlines will take them at all.

I need to be able to do her hour-long walks by April.

Wish me luck!

It would seem a bit hard to send any dog, but especially that one, to

That Fish
The Hedge
Near Heathrow

and just hope for the best. Pore fing.

Hurrah! A Chatelaine, a Bee and anise-flavoured elixirs. And ‘Lovely Nelly’. What could possib all is right with the world.

Excited squeaking and a slight wobbling of the outlying Gusly areas is occurring. Wafting wishes northward.

I was with my friend earlier today and was taught how to knit a cable stitch

My eyes are now permanently crossed and I need to develop a new more dexterous appendages until I master manipulating a cable needle and two needles along with wool and pattern and three wains running round and a slabberador drooling on my bare legs

Where did he come from(Whaur did he go? some film, the name escapes me…) this dogly character? I thought the dog you have is quite a small dog as dimensions go. Um. Ummm. The humming noise indicates a Gus suspecting it has somewhat missed the point.
Cheerful ear-rubs and encouraging talk to any dogs reading this and offended by it. Ach, to any dogs at all.
Sterling efforts, chaps, keep up the wagging.

Labradors lose a hooverful of hair a week, same as Dalmatians. Why aren’t they all bald?

I have just spent half an hour unknitting three and a half rows of knitting to get back to a mistake which I noticed I had made about ten stitches later but thought wouldn’t show, only to realise when I had gone a little further that actually it did show, rather a lot, and would have to be corrected.

This has put me into a lousy temper.

Sympathy dear Fishy

It is maddening when you have to unpick hours of work

And for some reason it always seems to be tighter when you unknit than it was when you knitted it.
