Gus says, Gardening is Outside Housework, and to hell with it.
She was attacked by a tree while trying to pull up a bramble.
When it was no better this morning she very properly rang 111 and got a paramedic to visit, and he told her to go in to a hospital. She has been there all day.
As far as she knows (she has not officially been told, but she has overheard) she has fractured her fourth thoracic vertebra, and they may decide she has to be in a brace, in which case they will keep her in overnight. If not they will let her out, I hope with plenty of high-quality analgesia, and I will go and fetch her – and feed her, because she is hollow inside for lack of feeding during the day – and bring her back here for a few days in a place where she doesn’t have to climb stairs because bed, food, shower and loo are all on the same floor.
And now I shall go and make said bed, because the collecting will be tomorrow if not tonight so I might as well get it ready.
