So, who wants to help ... to take refuge in the Cellar?

[peckity] [peckity] [peckity]

Salt ‘n’ grease, two of the vital food groups. (The others being garlic and sugar. Not sure about fried crunchy bits; they probably count as all four if you’re doing it right.)

No maple syrup for me, thanks

Have just used a battery-powered tin opener for the first time & am impressed

Doesn’t take much…

I have never even seen one as far as I know. Are they Absolutely Triffic? What do they do?

My OT suggested I try one, as I am supposed to rest my fingers , & a Hard Stare won’t open a tin of tuna…

Mine is a ‘OneTouch’ , & takes 2 AA batteries .

Place it on top of the can & press the black button down until the can ‘engages’ & makes a noise

Watch, whilst it trundles around the lid, & stops when it has finished.

Really easy & pain free for me

I have been trying to knit a noo yarn

A pink and white random dye chenille yarn in your best polyester

It knits up to look like a strawberry and raspberry ripple sundae

Sounds fun – but would people come at you with spoons on hot days?

You would melt on hot days if you wore this…

The stuff of nightmares, that…

Well I would go mad without summat to play with

And my eyes aren’t up to letting me cook or sew or anyfink

At least my knitting can be a bit by bit affair and my loom means I do not need to peer at knitting so closely

Much sympathy, Twellsy.
I hope that your forthcoming medical appointment yields support and a lot of sound advice.

Snot bobbly it’s more like thick velvet and is a nice little everyday jumper for me under construction

Easy to wash too

Alpaca and wool are not easy wash yarns

Can’t be doing with the texture, Twellsy

I don’t even like fleece

Whereas I love textures and the warm fleece washable things are great for my life with a nagricultural aspect

I am not good in tailored things unlike you dear

You look elegant in such things
I can reduce a dress uniform to a lived in look in seconds
