Home safe. More fevvery hugs to our Chatelaine at the end of a Fairly Crap Day.

More blue skies today.

Birdies have recovered from their shock and are back to their normal spring discussions (cor look at the fevvers on that, etc.).

26deg here & very sunny

Slight tension headache, but nothing compared with yours Twellsy

I have seen the Podiatrist, & Orthotics will be made for me

I also toddled orff for a blood test, as I’m sure this thing is flaring up again

Had a pleasant surprise when I got back - you may remember that I had cause to complain about Tilda rice , & they have found a tiny hole in the back of the packet which neither they, nor I made. Unpacking, & storing in shops is thought to be the cause

Anyhoo, it compromised the contents, & they have sent me ÂŁ20 worth of vouchers

I may need an Snoozette before long

Perhaps during TA…

Best time forrit. 27°C nearby, and I’ve been in the garden most of the day.

But surely you don’t want to miss the sleb appearance?

On which point, I note that Ms Dillon:

“…has become increasingly interested in the link between diet and treatment and prevention of cancer. In 2013, she spoke to Jenni Murray on Woman’s Hour about her experience of the disease and her views on how diet can affect recovery.”

Yet she’s going to voluntarily ingest Mankwold?

It’s like chemotherapy, only less fun.

An enjoyable day has been had. Mr Soo was treated to:

A brief sojourn in a cafĂŠ in Bellingham - the capital of North Northumberland - where I pushed the beely boat out for a toasted teacake with butter, blackcurrant jam and a cup of tea.
A bit of a sunbathe in 24C.
A visit to the Kielder Bird of Prey Centre where we saw this chap:

and many others.
Fairly tame (the Sea Eagle isn’t completely so) but it Was Good.

I hope that our Chatelaine has rested and send love.

Sounds like a very good birthday to me, Soo. Many happy returns to the mister. When you said Bellingham, I was most miffed that you hadn’t dropped in for Ordeal by Gingerbread. There is another Bellingham just down the road from me. Rather less attractive all round than yours, it has to be said. And absolutely no sea eagles.

This Gingerbread, Gus…any chance of a recipe? I promise that any ingredients will be easily sourced, so I shan’t pull a fast one, this time

I shall make gingerbread for if, hopefully when, you might visit us, Carinthia.
Here is another of the Birds we saw, today:

He’s a Bateleur Eagle and was adopted by the Centre as an act of rescue.
He is truly beautiful.
I must watch Simon Reeves - it is Himself’s Birthday and sacrifices must be made.

He has lost none of his menace, I can tell you, Hedgers.
Anyhoo, I am away to bed. Tomorrow’s celebrations involve DS and DiL, so I must attempt sleep.
Good nights, Cellarites.
