Radio Times Ambridge Diary Jan 13-18
Alice has picked up on news that Pryce Bauman plans to develop a strawberry-picking robot and is now keen to trial the technology at Home Farm. I hope the rest of the Aldridges go for it - if only to generate an “Artificial Intelligence Takes Over Ambridge” storyline. The Archers does Westworld - just imagine!
Could booze be coming back to Lower Loxley? Elizabeth is obviously hoping so, as the date for the review of the alcohol licence approaches - but will her dry January end up running into February?
Susan, meanwhile, spots one resident behaving in a suspicious manner and voices concerns to Emma, who believes her mum is barking up the wrong tree.

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update Jan 13-18
As we all know, the annual arrival of strawberry-pickers to Ambridge brings a flush to many a cheek, and a pillow full of tears for others. Alice, however, has a wheeze that could cut out this seasonal frolicking - a strawberry-picking robot. It would put an end to all those larks in the polytunnels, and it won’t be the only potentially life-changing proposalcoming the Aldridge clan’s way this week.
Also, as many of us have guessed, Philip - Kirsty’s current squeeze - has a dark hinterland, and light will be shone upon it.
Meanwhile, belts are tightened at Brookfield, Emma is anxious, Susan spots something suspicious, and one Ambridger makes a shocking decision.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary Jan 20-25
Lower Loxley could be the scene of an intervention after Kenton finds the place in uproar. As Elizabeth makes a shocking confession, Kenton is so concerned that he rallies Shula and David - but will they be able to get through to their troubled sister?
Tempers flare for the Aldridges when Jennifer calls an emergency partnership meeting. As one member of the clan digs their heels in, another one gives a life-changing ultimatum.
Helen’s behaviour continues to arouse suspicion as she and Lee grow closer.
Plus Ed has money on his mind as he fears that he and Emma will struggle to pay the mortgage and house deposit. But could there soon be hope on the horizon?
