Radio Times Ambridge Diary July 14-19
The atmosphere is still tense at Greenacres, so Alistair implores Jim to tell Fiona the truth about his past trauma. Jim, though, can’t find the words, so it’s left to Alistair to break the news himself. But Fiona’s reaction ends up taking him completely by surprise.
A rare evening out for Clarrie gets cut short when she makes a shocking discovery about one of her sons.
Later in the week, Bev arrives on the doorstep, but what kind of reception will she get from Will?
Finally, Lilian is summoned to The Lodge and heads over to see Peggy, where she finds out that change is coming to the Ambridge Conservation Trust Initiative. Soon, word is spreading around the village.

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update July 14-19
Peggy sits in the Lodge like a Borgia dowager, commanding relatives to come at her bidding. They come, of course, lured by the Ambridge Conversation Trust challenge. Lilian is summoned this week and told that another change is in the pipeline. News of this filters through to Ambridgers who will soon, if Tom and Natasha get their way, be living in gloom, regularly concussed by falling apples.
They are certainly in gloom up at Greenacres, where recent revelations have cast a dreadful shadow.
Things are little better in Grundyland, where Clarrie has a rare night out ruined by a revelation, and where Bev arrives with a thing or two to say to Will.

Radio Times Ambridge Diary July 21-26
Jim is in better spirits, though that doesn’t stop Jazzer from supporting him by seeing off enquiries from Susan and Lynda. But when another resident criticises Jim’s behaviour, Jazzer finds himself pushed to the edge.
And he’s not the only one seeing red: trouble is coming to the door of Grange Farm and, as Will discovers a horrifying truth, an angry confrontation has unforeseen consequences …
There’s tension at Bridge Farm as Tom’s lack of urgency over the pigs causes problems. Can he be convinced to find a new supplier?
And, finally, there is some happy news: little Rosie’s first birthday is celebrated in style, even if Toby, the over-eager dad, goes way over the top.

Looking at July 12th & 14th makes me wonder if these episodes might feature a special guest?
Dr. Christiaan Barnard springs to mind (…OK, the good doctor up and died back in 2001, but hey, that’s never seemed to have mattered as far as plot plausibility in TA (…think the GrundgieBoys’ GreatAuntMoneyBags in Hull (…or was it Scunthorpe?) (…'ere wotchit! Sturmey-Ed))
