Does Tom actually have the authority to hire and fire where the pigs are concerned? I’ll admit I’ve lost track, but I thought he relinquished his role when he buggered off to Canada? When did he buy back in, and are the pigs now organic?

He came waltzing back when Tony was in hospital unconscious and Rob was making hay around the place, and I think was just allowed by the distraught and spineless Pat back to exactly where he had been before in the hierarchy.

I have no memory of either him or Helen ever putting a bent farthing into it, for sure. And he always seemed to think that the pigs were his and any money from them his to use as he chose, just as she always thought of the shop as hers and ditto.
