Cats are another thing the SWs know frod-all about. They simply do not behave as Hilda is written as behaving.
I imagine we are meant to find it funny. It isn’t.

I have heard noises a bit like that, from a feral adolescent cat who had been used to represent a wild-cat in some filming and seriously traumatised; she didn’t like people at all. But she didn’t go for anyone: she hid under the sofa and made it clear that if you laid a finger on her you would lose it to the elbow, but she never ventured out aggressively. It took us ten days to persuade her to come far enough out to eat.
