I struggle generally, with what newsreaders get for, essentially, reading an autocue. Accepted they do some of the writing & conduct occasional interviews but the poorly paid ones appear to be getting £200,000-250,000 for it.
And appearing trustworthy and reliable even when they’re repeating things that they know are untrue.

On the occasions I’ve feel fully aware of the details of some event what has been reported is barely half-accurate. To the point of being astonishing on a couple of occasions.
