This week our attention is drawn, rather heavy-handedly, towards Lower Loxley. Peacocks parade on the stone steps, topiary throws long shadows over manicured lawns, and ancient windows, currently out of reach of Alice, twinkle in the summer sun. A casual glance might make you think that peace and order reign in the neoclassical style drawing room and library - but this is Ambridge, so you would be wrong.
Lily brings a huge moral dilemma to the Pargetter family seat, while Vince makes himself too much at home, Russ springs a surprise, and an unexpected family member turns up.
But why all these Loxley diversion tactics, you might ask? Is it to give us a break from Aldridge misery, or is this distraction just a cover for more Alice-related dramas?
