Blasts from the past constantly howl through Lower Loxley, bringing woe to that unhappy ancestral home. This time, it’s Elizabeth who bears the brunt of it, while Freddie - having very much got the wrong end of the stick about inheriting his late father’s Mr Snowy title - makes a big decision about his future.
There are troubles as well under the humbler roof of Grange Farm, where Ed, burdened by his deception, struggles to get free of the tentacles of crime.
Talking of crime, Harrison takes some time away from minor policing matters to get to grips with the Great Missing Bunting Mystery. Meanwhile, Tom takes an emotional risk, and Leonard steps into an Archer feud.

I bloody knew it. The shouty strop is all to set up a scenario in which Lenny the Lag can step in and be marvellous for the Hooter’s sake. He can eff off and take his gleaming dentures and Werther’s Originals with him.
