I wanted to play a mindless game for a bit, so I opened a browser in Chromium (which doesn’t have an adblocker, on this machine) and loaded a thing called “Tabby Island” which I use as a fiddle in such circs. While it loaded, I got an ad. The voice sounded familiar so I looked, and there was Tim Bentinck advertising some Amazon thing to do with television.
Oh dear, he does look a bit shopworn in that ad. His fictional family are clearly running him ragged.
I understand the TA version is “Stabby Cottage”
The ad is for an Amazon FireStick at £39.99, and it starts with him saying “If like me, you love the sound of your own voice…”
I am unsure how much flesh and blood is supposed to take!
I know where I’d like to stick some fire…
Cruel… But. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.
And sometimes one does it just for the sport in it.
I don’t think there is any ‘sport’ in it. Surely it would just be pure entertainment

Dear me, they have rather drifted together in appearance. I think Bentinck’s chin is pointier, and his hair is slightly less curly.
They didn’t go to the same schools, which if they had might have accounted for the similarity of voice.
