I’m working on George Grundy’s entry for the Directory, and it has struck me that I really hope that one day, when he is in his teens,. Emma will say she isn’t happy about something and he will turn to her and say, “So what’s new? You’ve done nothing but complain and be miserable about things all my life!” It just does seem that every time I find George in Lowfield, there is Emma, whinging about something.
