Thank-you Dunnock.
Glittery wired ribbon wiv Peacock Fevvers.
It will make an extravagant bow/trim, & the navy in the ‘eye’ should pull it together with the existing band.

And a mix of stitching and glue will hold it firmly in place
Double-sided tape will hold it in place whilst you decide what to do wivvit.

Having looked at the bed spaces in certain establishments in Pompeii, I decided that, despite my natural padding, considerably bigger cushions would be required…

Tiger Lily Crafts have reduced haberdashery & interesting yarn on their site ATM. It’s a very small online business, with lovely things, & free postage in the UK.

Thank you, Darling.

I see that the Knitted Map of Ambridge is now on The Archers page at the BBC, if anyone would like a look.

I am making a bit of a fuss for my hat
3 loops gathered together and tucked into a knot
The whole piece to attach to the navy band of the hat
The two tails to appear to float mid air
The loops are like a cockade in that they are up the side of the hat
The only question is
Feathers or not?
I feel they can be added in due course if I want them
Until then less is more…
Adding is easier than removing. Especially where fevvers are concerned.
Yerrrs I suppose wee birdies know about fevvers
No Fevers
Less is deffo more
It’s an sunhat, nottan Christmas Tree

Carinthia, you always say “no fevvers”.
I loves Fevvers, but not on top of glittery peacock ribbon…

Photos of nat and ribbon will appear soon if I can get the Bull to take and post said photos…
A question for knitters and general garment experts alike, something that has long puzzled me: when is a sweater a jumper, and vice versa.
I mean, jumper…
and sweater…
It defeats me.
As far as I know they are two words for the same sort of garment.
That is what I sort-of-thought, and that some people tend to use one word and some the other. But I always wondered and then noticed that the two examples above are patterns produced by the same company and designed by the same designer, yet one is described as a jumper and the other as a sweater. It seems odd, if there is no difference.
