For Peggy, an ice dancer. Her favourite dance.
Just discovered that yesterday was actually Ray Stevensā 85th birthday, so I belatedly proffer that as a tribute.
The late, great Steve Goodman
Why this particular song popped into my mind this evening is probably best not mentioned publicly (Iāve been caught in the crossfire of identity politics wars rather too often!). Suffice it to say there was a particularly earnest academic paper involvedā¦
Lovely and much appreciated, my Feathered Friend.

That was very, very funny.
I just watched the whole thing. Loved the movie too, although it was totally ridiculous. āLeesen to the cheeldren of the niiiight.ā
Somewhat unusually (for this thread) an up-to-the-minute posting: Embers - the lead single from the forthcoming solo album by Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess. Vocals by the supremely talented (and all-round good bloke!) Joe Payne, who Iām delighted to see getting the sort of recognition he deserves.
I realise I am not in tune with The Young People Today but that vocal pitch sounds much better to me when itās sung by a woman.
We both enjoyed this track, joe, and weāll make a point of listening to more. Thanks!

Will never forget hearing Joe for the first time (probably not one for Hedgersā¦)
He was most amused when he found out that the last time Iād seen the band live (Hammersmith Odeon, 1986!) was before he was born.
Unfortunately it didnāt work out (to put it mildly) so Iām delighted heās now doing so well.
Stunningly beautiful, thank you for that.
A walk by the river today in beautiful sunshine and saw trout jumping so what else could I listen to?
Yerrrrsā¦.
