Not as far as I remember, but there has been a steady accretion of Stately Home Stuff at the horrible hole for some time, making peacocks on the terrace more or less inevitable.

Perhaps it’s like that bloke who founded O’Neill’s the plastic Irish pub chain. I read an interview with him in which he said that the only reason he made the theme “Irish” was that he had a mate with a warehouse full of unwanted fake-Irish pub tat. Somewhere there is a warehouse full of stately-home tat…

They did have a peacock at one point, afair. When Eccles went walkabout someone thought he might have swum the Am and walked the four miles to Lower Loxley Hall.
