Aww. Lovely. Thank you, joe.
Finally, some good news to report. Apologies again for the poor quality, for the same reasons, but we have a new family! Two visible (just) here, and at least another two already hatched. Penny’s sitting on a lot of eggs, though, so we’re expecting quite a few more. Will keep you posted.
Congratulations all round!
Lovely news, Joe

What good news and what a beautiful hen
Lovely, fluffy gorgeousness. Thanks, joe!

Just back from getting my new head fitted, so still haven’t seen all the new arrivals - seven at the last count!
Ohhhh, chickses! [deafening SQUEE]
The right way round, we hope. Could make flauting a touch tricky otherwise. Elbows being what they are…
Nine - and counting! Still five eggs remaining. We’ll know in the next day or so if they’re viable, but Penny hasn’t given up on them…
AttaPenny! Good hen!
Are you calling that one Twellsy?

Snell Snyff!
We have spent the whole of yesterday and last night standing vigil over a premature hatchling. Cautiously hopeful - s/he’s active and alert, beginning to eat solids and has been flexing muscles and even preening, but it’s still too early to tell
Fins crossed for her.
And fingers toes and everything crossed here
And here.
That’s encouraging; fingers crossed.
