Poultry report

Hard to tell amidst the mayhem, but I think it’s eleven now!

If one of them is hissing and turning things to stone, it should probably be kept separately.

If one of them is hissing and turning things to stone, then I want it.

Sorry, but it’d go straight on mink watch

Twelve, by the way.

Dom we get to see fluffy chicks soon?

Please

They spend a fair bit of time resting under the brooder, so getting good pics is tricky at the moment. However…

Hard to tell at this stage - and their lineage is, er, let’s say complicated at the best of times…

No 13 finally made it out about an hour ago

A baker’s dozen seems somehow appropriate, joe.

Indeed.

There are four more eggses, but whether they’ll hatch, who knows?

Don’t see any sign of pipping, but we’ll leave them a couple of days just in case. #13 started late and took well over 24 hours

No 13 fluffing out beautifully - will try to introduce her to the rest later today

Still don’t see any sign of activity in the remaining four, but we’re not giving up yet…

The whole family*

*So far! One of the remaining ones has pipped, but it seems to be a very slow process. Fingers crossed…

OK - so nothing happened with No 14, so we have the baker’s dozen. Now moved to temporary accommodation in boiler shed. All doing well:
