Radio Times Ambridge Diary March 30th-April 4th

Now that Rochelle has returned, it appears that not everyone is willing to forgive and forget, with Mick particularly unsure what to do.
The Grundys try to support a member of the family, with the fallout also affecting Lilian and Fallon - and George’s actions from last year are still muddying the waters.
Lynda and Robert join the Maliks to celebrate Eid, while the cricket team continues to be on a sticky wicket.

I recommend setting something on fire.

Why, I do indeed have a variety of cans of petrol and lighters for sale.

He has a very simple choice. Back up the woman in whose house he lives, and in whose bed he sleeps, or alternatively back up her daughter who turns up uninvited and expects to be in charge and stay there indefinitely, attacks her mother, bad-mouths her to her boy-friend, and drives her out of her own home. Oh, and who has no house and probably won’t want him in her bed.

Difficult decision, right?

He is finding it strangely difficult. I was encouraged when he sounded quite fed up with her at one time, saying things had been fine until she showed up. He took it back, but you can’t unsay some things.

I’m finding Rochelle’s behaviour with Mick a bit disturbing. She continues to bad mouth Joy, while telling him how he should behave towards Joy, that is stop texting her, and am I alone in finding her ever so slightly flirty to Mick as well as overtly flirty with Vince?

One trouble is that Mick cannot tell Rochelle to leave, it’s not his house. He could remove himself, however. Not sure where he’d go in that case as the camper van has gone.

Yes, I get the impression Mick would love to tell Rochelle to get lost but doesn’t want to alienate her, for Joy’s sake. He knows, after all how thrilled Joy was to see her when she first turned up.

Rochelle strikes me as the sort of woman (we’ve all met them) who has so far used flirting in an attempt to manipulate every man she meets - and in Vince’s case I reckon she has serious manipulation in mind. She’ll find it loses its power as the years go by.

Given her likely age it won’t be working as well as once it did anyway. Plus she sounds rough as a bear’s arse ( which tbh might make a refreshing change from the fragrant Widderbeth for Vince).

A choice between Elizabeth and Rochelle? Oh lucky Vince!

(Do we have a sarcasm font in here?)

A choice between Elizabeth, Rochelle, and a bear’s arse. Don’t exclude the option just because it’s too obviously appealing.

Bears are beautiful

Rochelle I picture as a bottle blonde with makeup just slapped on with a trowel and a skeletal frame wearing clothes that are for 15 years younger than she should be wearing

And white stilettos :high_heeled_shoe:
