Radio Times Ambridge Diary - May 25th-30th

The Archers are in mourning for Peggy, whose demise on 8 May, six months to the day since the death of actor June Spencer, brought down the curtain on a distinguished career. With the funeral still two weeks away, life goes on.
Susan fears for the future of the shop after the charging station opens, Alice and Chris face a challenging week and Helen has a big night out.

As you do while waiting to bury your grandmother.

Shop: for people in the village who don’t have a choice.

Charging station shop: for passers-by who don’t mind paying waaaay over the odds.

Not seeing the overlap here.

To be fair I can think of many worse options.

This is Helen we’re talking about, on the prowl for fresh meat. So if you could try to be a bit less bloody reasonable, that would be grand. :woman_vampire:

Oh, tight, you’re suggesting a Jan in the Pan situation.

(In that classic documentary The Brain That Wouldn’t Die. (1962) in which a mad doctor’s fiancée is decapitated in a car accident, and he keeps her head alive while searching for a suitable donor body to attach it to.)
